About NCLS

North Central Legal Solutions, P.C.  is an Iowa based law firm out of Cedar Rapids. The firm focuses primarily on consumer retail legal collections, commercial litigation, and creditors rights. NCLS represents a diverse client pool of local, regional, and national businesses throughout the state of Iowa.

Managing Attorney

Charles L. Litow

Charles Litow was the founder and principal of Litow Law Offices, P.C. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He left the firm in 2013 after selling his assets in the firm.  His practice has been devoted exclusively to collections since 1988. Representative clients were: Capital One, Citibank, Bank of America, Cavalry, Midland and NCO.  Shortly after leaving the firm, Litow joined the firm of Wright & Lerch, LLP which changed names to Wright, Lerch & Litow, LLP.  Said firm merged with Fenton & McGarvey Law Firm, PSC wherein Litow acted as the managing attorney until joining Gurstel and Chargo, PA.

Litow graduated from Coe College with a B.A. degree and received his J.D. degree from Creighton University School of Law.  He is licensed to practice law in Iowa, Missouri as well as California.

Litow was a member of the Commercial Law League of America; the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA); a board member of NARCA (from 2006 to 2013 and also served as chair for several committees); was chair of the committee that developed NARCA’s debt trap presentation; the State Bar of California; the Iowa State Bar Association; the Missouri State Bar and founded the Iowa Creditors Bar.

He co-wrote Collection Issues in California, Problem Collections in California, Collection in the California Construction Industry, Successful Judgment Collections in Iowa and Complying With the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in Iowa.  He has been a frequent lecturer on collection issues.  He also successfully argued Capital One Bank (U.S.A.) N.A v. Denboer, 791 N.W.2d 264 (2010).
